Definitely No Baby Anymore.

Peter went to the Doctor’s also for his physical two weeks ago. He weighs 25 lbs. His vocabulary is amazing. He talks and plays with the other children. He is definitely no baby anymore. He is a full-fledged little boy. He is adjusting to the nursery. The nursery teacher told us since they found out last week he loves puzzles, they have kept him busy with puzzles.

Christmas 1985

Peter really enjoyed Christmas. He got a Fischer-Price fire engine. He talks a lot now. He follows the other children around. He was so funny. Christmas morning after each child would open a gift he would go and investigate what they got. He got a nerf football that he went perfectly crazy about. He continues to fit perfectly in with the boys and the things they do. Every night when he goes in his crib he asks for a book to look at.

November 1985

Peter is still battling a lingering cough and runny nose. But Sunday at church Ken noticed he was getting his back molars. He loves to play with legos. He say Mom, Da, ba (bottle,) here, no and a few others. He does let others know when they have done something to him that displeases him.

Full Fledged Toddler

Peter is no longer a baby but a full fledged toddler. No playpen, no being fed (he feeds himself,) no quietly sitting on Mommy and Daddy’s lap. He is down and out, in, under, over and through—-free. We have to be careful because he opens the screen door and goes outside. The other day Ken found him in the front yard barefeet and all playing with Jeromy’s football. He makes a sound like Ma and Da. No real words yet. He understands what we are saying to him. He loves music and likes to dance.

Enjoying Life

peteytractor2

Peter has been sick this month with an ear infection in both ears. He walks very steady now. He is trying to talk. He gets all around. Saturday when we were all outside working he sat up on the tractor really enjoying life and looking all around. He loved the freedom we gave him of going out and walking all around by himself. Of course, we were out there too, and the gate was closed. Yesterday, at church he got overtired and was behaving very much unlike Peter but very much like a 1 1/2 yr old boy. He was kicking and really making his unhappy feelings known.

Very Loving

Peter is walking quite well. He is fairly quiet but he is an investigator. He gets around very well and likes to be with the other children and be doing what they are doing. He talks babytalk and feeds himself very well. He eats with us and is getting to be a good sized little guy. He is very loving.

Getting Down

Peter has begun walking more. He baby talks a lot now. He gets right down and plays with the children. He crawls up and down stairs all by himself. He likes to be able to get around on his own. He eats everything we eat. He liked it when we went camping. He and Mark slept together.

Happy Birthday Bro!

peteywalking

Peter will be one on July 8th. He took his first step last Monday. He has the cutest profile. He has a good solid frame. He is one of the more heftier of our children, or from what I can remember anyway. No matter where we go, or for how long we are there, people marvel at the way he behaves. He is very easy going. Never fusses if a stranger picks him up. He merely stiffens up a little til he finds something about the person to investigate, i.e. glasses, beads, earrings. He is beginning to really enjoy stories. He baby talks all the time. He loves to roll and push trucks along. Last week Ken called me to the stairs. Peter was two steps away from the top step. I quickly climbed up behind him to see what he was going to do. He started to correctly back down the stairs, amazing both Ken and I because we were certain no one taught him to do that!! He is very bright, to watch him play with interlocking toys is fascinating.

Quite A Boy

Peter is quite a boy. He has two teeth on the bottom and almost three on the top. He loves to crawl. The other day I heard him whimpering and I went into the hall and looked up the stairs and saw that he had climbed halfway up and he didn’t know how to get down. He crawls and can pull himself up to a standing position. He can walk holding on to things. He laughs and giggles a lot lately. He took to camping fairly well. He slept with us all night! We took a port-a-crib for the two babies and neither of them used it. Emilie slept with Kristy, Markie ended up using it!! The other day Peter climbed out of the high chair and fell on his forehead…he got a goose egg.

An Easy Going Personality

Peter continues to amuse us all. He has an easy going personality. He eats when and usually what we eat. He has just started playing with the other children. In fact, the other morning they were all out here in the kitchen playing on the floor and I looked over and said “no not yet Peter, you can’t be old enough to be down there playing with everyone else”, but he isn’t letting any grass grow under his feet. He hasn’t started to talk yet but he still is walking holding on and doing very well at it too. Peter still only has the two bottom teeth.
