I think it was a learning experience

Peter loved Darien Lake too. I think his favorite was the bumper cars. On Sunday May 22 Peter got angry in the car on the way home from church. I wasn’t something the way he wanted me to do it. He got very upset. Ken had to stay for a meeting. When we got home he started to have a tantarum. I put him in the garage. He got even angrier and started to throw things. We ignored him and stayed in the house. He dumped our wheat over and just really mad. Ken got home shortly and got the message of Peter’s behavior. He and Peter went out and sat on the front porch on the bench, there they sat and discusseed the problem. Finally, Peter came in and apologized to me. I started to cry and tried to explain to him…that even though he got angry , and threw things all over, it didn’t get him his way. I tried to explain that now he had a big mess to clean up. Ken said maybe some of the kids would help him. Right away, Jeromy, Mark, Natalie and Kristy offered to help him. So they went out after lunch and swept and put things back in order. I think it was a learning experience. So far, we haven’t had a repeat performance.
